What is the Slope? Practice Test for Finding M in a Linear Equation

Lines and linear equations have a slope, denoted by m in the equation y=mx+b. Mashup Math's video detailing slope is a great introduction or review before diving into my practice test. This resource is in adaptive mode, which means that the correct answers follow each question.

Directions
  1. Click on the first slide below to enlarge.
  2. Write your answer on a sheet of paper.
  3. Click on the slide or on the next thumbnail at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Check your answers.

Thank you for visiting Student Survive 2 Thrive! I have loads of resources that can be found on my site map, via the topics, or by typing a topic in my search bar. Below are a few related items from my blog:

What is the Y-Intercept? Practice Test for Finding B in a Linear Equation

Linear equations can be written in y=mx+b format in which the constant (b) is where the line crosses the x-axis, which is also known as the y-intercept. This free practice test provides opportunities to practice finding the y-intercept when given data in various formats. When designing this resource, I used adaptive mode in which the correct answers can be found on the slide immediately following the slide with the question.

Directions

  1. Click on the first graphic to enlarge to full screen.
  2. Write your answers on a sheet of paper.
  3. Click on the slide or on the next thumbnail at the bottom of the screen to advance to the next slide.
  4. Check your answers.
  5. Repeat the practice test if you need to review.

Thank you for visiting my Student Survive 2 Thrive blog! I have developed quite a few student resources that can be found at my site map, under my topics pages, or the search bar in my blog. In addition, you may wish to click on the following related articles:
