This set of Medical Terminology flash cards includes
abbreviations that begin with the letter "E." Some abbreviations in
this series are used much more often than others; a few include some terms are a bit dated. Abbreviations may have multiple meanings, and many terms
have multiple abbreviations. As more and more medical records become
computerized, we will likely see fewer abbreviations except for narrative
notes. Always spell out the term if there is a question about which term it
represents.
