Principles of Art Practice Test

Visual art involves quite a few principles. Masters of the craft often adhere to or manipulate these principles in unusual ways to produce memorable and thought-provoking pieces. Before attempting this visual art practice test, I suggest reviewing the Principles of Art module on Nearpod.com. Keep in mind that most art includes several principles of art mentioned in this practice test. I have included descriptions that give a hint for the focus of each question.

This practice test focuses on the following principles of art:

  • Alignment
  • Balance
  • Contrast
  • Emphasis
  • Movement
  • Pattern
  • Proportion
  • Unity
