Safety Hazards in Home Health Practice Test

Those who work in home health often face numerous safety issues. Many of those issues are identical ones faced by those who work in hospitals and long-term care facilities; however, additional safety issues originate from working in a less predictable and less controlled home environment.

This practice test is based on the article Home Health Care Patients and Safety Hazards in the Home: Preliminary Findings. Several of the sample groups were convenience samples and based in urban areas, but I think most of the concepts would relate to many employed in home health. Those who work in home health should follow facility policy and ensure they are well educated regarding safety issues and hazards.
