Katrena's Words With the Letter E Spelling Practice

Learning how to spell words with the short e vowel sound is pretty tricky around these parts. I have a Southern accent and may pronounce a few of these pesky words as if they have the letter i, as my 7-year-old discovered after trying out these online practice spelling words. As she learns how to spell them, perhaps I can practice saying them without as much of a Southern twang!
