Katrena's Practical Math Practice – Cooking in the Kitchen #1

The kitchen is a great place for honing one's math skills. This kitchen math includes 15 practical math problems that one might encounter while preparing a meal, including adding, subtracting, identifying a number from its written form, multiplying, dividing, and telling time. These also include reading practice and gives examples of teamwork in preparing and cleaning up after a meal.

On each answer slide, I included a math equation that might be used to solve the problem; however, there are several possible other ways to determine the correct answers. Those who are learning math skills might wish to use a number line, coins, toothpicks, or other items to help with counting.
