Medical Terminology Prefixes Practice Test: Direction, Quantity, Size, Amount

Having a strong knowledge of prefixes in medical terminology is important as these are often used over and over in medical terminology classes and in healthcare-related professions. This free medical terminology practice test includes twelve prefixes that denote direction, quantity, size, and/or amount.

Directions:

  2. Slides contain the definition with a choice of four prefixes - choose the prefix that best matches the definition.
  3. Click on the slide to advance to the next or click on the next thumbnail at the bottom of the screen.
  4. The correct answer is highlighted for each definition.
